Game-Based Learning in the Junior Classroom

Adele Stanfield/Derek Walker

Ever thought about using game-based learning in your classroom but have no idea where to begin?

Want to immerse yourself in educational games that you might use with students?

Have no idea what game-based learning is but are curious?

If you have these questions then you will want to join us!

Over the past year, we have been working on a TLLP project to see how to students' learning outcomes change when they play games to learn curriculum. Through successes and failures, we have found that games are engaging and a great hook, especially for those reluctant students.

We invite you to come to our space, play some games, ask some questions and participate in lively discussion! We have compiled a list of games that have worked well with the grade five curriculum but by no means do you have to be a junior teacher to benefit from visiting us. We can show you how to find apps and games that suit your grade level and curriculum.

Hope to see you!
