Starting Out with Makey Makey with Drawdio!

Come explore the the weird and wonderful world of electronic tinkering -
-- with no need to bring or download anything in advance!!!

What the heck is a "MakeyMakey" and a"Drawdio" ?!?

Makey Makey and Drawdio are both simple electronics kits that allow children, young and old, to discover how easy and fun it can be to tinker and invent with electronics! Exploring the simple concepts of circuits and electric currents, students can go from discovering endless inventions with common and unusual objects, to learning computational concepts so that they can create a simple program to make their invention do something that they want it to do.

Take a look at this video of the day that Drawdio was invented by Jay Silver working with some school kids in India - and watch the joy of exploration and discovery on the kids' faces!

So what IS a DRAWDIO?......Drawdio = DRAW + AUDIO!..

And a great TED Talk, Makey Makey inventor Jay Silver shares some of the messiest inventions....

Why can't two slices of pizza be used as a slide clicker? Why shouldn't you make music with ketchup? In this charming talk, inventor Jay Silver talks about the urge to play with the world around you. He shares some of his messiest inventions, and demos MaKey MaKey, a kit for hacking everyday objects.
